With 24 years experience, Chris is a principal at Acela and director of engineering. He has worked on industrial, commercial and residential land development projects and done the planning, design,and construction of the stormwater and transportation impacts associated with the land development and subdivision projects. He has served as a municipal engineer and designed various municipal projects such as parks and roadways. He represents clients at pre-construction meetings, local planning commission meetings, council and supervisors’ meetings, and zoning hearing board meetings.
Chris became interested in civil engineering through his first drafting position, which happened to be in the civil engineering field. As he grew, so did his interest in civil engineering.
While working full time, he earned bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Computer Science as well as an associate degree in Architectural and Building Sciences. He is currently pursing a master’s degree in transportation engineering, which is his passion. He has always enjoyed math and sees solving transportation issues as a giant, complex math problem.
He is a Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, a Certified Professional in Municipal Stormwater Management, Certified Professional in Erosion & Sedimentation Control and a Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality. Chris is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania, New York, and Wyoming.
His hobbies include time with his family, gun collecting, wood working, camping, hiking, boating and all the outdoors have to offer. He and his wife, Christina Marsiello-Geary, stay busy with their three children.
