Acela stands for speed and efficiency.
Founded Nov, 4, 2014 by Daniel Witzak, P.E., Acela has grown to include a trusted staff of 18 full-time and seven part-time employees who provide coordinated in-house services in a way that translates to speed and efficiency for the client.
Witzak founded Acela with the intent of creating an engineering firm that is both client-focused and employee-focused. We believe in listening to the client’s needs, being responsive and communicating with clients to keep them informed.
Acela believes in treating its employees well and this translates to an enthusiastic and productive staff. With our technology infrastructure, most of our staff is able to enjoy working from home two or three times a week.
Acela has some of the most experienced architectural and engineering professionals in the Lehigh Valley. Our project managers have more than 20 years experience in the engineering profession.

In August, 2016, Chris Geary joined the firm.
