Acela currently offers employees working 30 hours a week or more health coverage to them and their dependents. If elected, coverage begins the first day of employment.

Acela provides a basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment plan for all full-time employees upon first day of employment. This benefit is available to full-time employees and is paid for by Acela.

Acela provides a short-term disability (STD) benefits plan to full-time employees upon first day of employment. The benefit provides partial pay to an employee who is unable to work because of a qualifying disability due to an injury or illness. This benefit is available to full-time employees and is paid for by Acela.

Acela provides a long-term disability (LTD) plan to full-time employees upon first day of employment. The benefit provides for continuance of benefits after Acela’s short-term disability plan expires. This benefit is available to full-time employees and is paid for by Acela.

Acela has established a 401(k) savings plan to provide employees the potential for future financial security for retirement. Eligible employees may participate in the 401(k) plan upon first day of employment.
